Even though its been forever, I still call Texas State…Southwest. Either way this university nestled in the Hill Country between Austin and San Antonio is one of the most picture perfect schools in Texas. When Kaylee asked if we could take their engagement pics at Texas State I knew we would have tons of options with a school overlooking the San Marcos River.

Best part about the shoot was the relaxed nature of the portrait…it felt like more a stroll around campus vs an engagement portrait. We laughed, sweated a little bit and had a perfect session. Great reminder that successful portraits don’t have to be in your Sunday best.
