New Braunfels, TX Wedding
May 26, 2017
I first met Cheryl & Ben at her brothers wedding last year when I noticed Ben was wearing LSU socks. Since he was a swimmer at LSU and my wife graduated from LSU our roots run deep with purple and gold! Geaux Tigers!
Cheryl and Ben’s ceremony was at the beautifully restored Comal County Courthouse in New Braufels, TX surrounded by the wedding party and family members only. It was really nice to photograph an intimate ceremony and made it that much more special for them. They rented a super cool Ford and I’ve never cruised around in a vintage car, but you would have thought the president was on the hood b/c that car was the center of attention as we drove past the swimming holes around New Braunfels and onto Gruene for the reception.
After stopping by to see Cheryl’s grandmother we scooted to Gruene for the reception at Gruene Event Center. If you have never been to Gruene go now! It’s a amazing little town on the banks of the Guadalupe River that has so much energy, one of the best dance halls in Texas Gruene Hall and really good food at the Grist Mill.
With the perfect weather and family members from all over the US it was the perfect night!
Huge shout out to Kristi Metcalf with Petals to Go for the wedding coordination, flowers and especially our camera bag that got locked in the courthouse!
